Barbara DuPont , CCE, Certified Doula (CD)
Barbara Du Pont, Childbirth Educator and Birth Doula, lives in Pleasantville, NY with her
husband and their four young children. At the age of twenty-two, Barbara was lucky
enough to be present at the birth of a friend’s daughter. Watching how this birth
naturally unfolded had a profound impact on Barbara’s approach to her first daughter’s
birth ten years later. After the birth of her third daughter, Barbara decided to follow her
passion for birth and obtain her certification as a birth doula (by DONA) and
childbirth educator (CEA/MNY). Prior to her children’s birth, Barbara worked as a lawyer
in Brooklyn, NY. It gives her great satisfaction and joy to inform and help guide
pregnant couples to have a satisfying birth.

  Mary Esther Malloy-Hopwood, CCE, CD
Mary Esther is a Bradley certified childbirth educator and a DONA-certified labor support
professional.  She  holds a B.A. from Oberlin College and a M.A. in Anthropology from New
York University. In addition to teaching childbirth classes, attending births and raising her
two sons, Mary Esther teaches Newborn Baby Care and Breastfeeding classes at the Sol
Goldberg Y. She also facilitates the Uptown Mothers’ Support Group and the Uptown Birth
Professionals Group. Mary Esther has trained with Pam England, author of Birthing From
Within, Debra Pascalli-Bonaro and others. Recently featured on the Discovery Health
Channel’s Get Fresh with Sarah Snow, Mary Esther offers an expansive, holistic approach
to childbirth preparation and labor support.

Venus (Nature) Rodriguez-McGregor, CD, LCCE (Lamaze CCE)
Venus was born  in San Juan, Puerto Rico and moved to NY when she was 8 years old.
She is the mother of three beautiful children and lives in Rockland County, NY with her
husband and children. She began her education in Rockland Community College where
she first discovered her interest in helping other women. She received her Associates
degree in psychology with the hopes of becoming a therapist for  women and young
girls.  After having her first child in a hospital, she felt that there had to be another way for
women to give birth. She had her second child at The Childbirth Center P.A., when it was
operating. There she discovered the wonderful world of midwives and she instantly wanted
to be a part of that. She became a certified Doula with ALACE in the winter of 2000.   For
the birth of her  third child she was able to have a wonderful homebirth experience.  She
went on to receive her Lamaze childbirth education certification in the fall of 2004. Nature
received her BS from SUNY Empire State College in Human Development-Early Infant and
Maternal Health and Development in May of 2006.
